    INTRODUCTION

    SIOM is committed to sustainability, focusing on the environment, responsible business, and human rights. These procedures guide us in identifying, preventing, and mitigating negative impacts for sustainable development.

    MONITORING

    All business relationships between SIOM its employees and its clients must be based on integrity, trust, honesty and cooperation. SIOM may verify compliance with the Sustainability Management Procedure by means of a conversation, self- assessment questionnaire or Internal operations audits where necessary. This may include conducting interviews with employees and the assessments of documentation related to clients or customer complaints. Compliance verifications are conducted by SIOM’s ISO audit team and management.

    Violation of SIOM’s Sustainability Management Procedure is to be reported to SIOM either through SIOM’s employees or through by emailing sustainability@siomorfevres.com

    SOCIAL & HUMAN RIGHTS

    At SIOM, we uphold human and labor rights, adhering to the principles set forth in the UN Universal Declaration on Human Rights. We conduct our business operations in a non-discriminatory and inclusive manner, ensuring that we are not complicit with any human rights abuses, including modern slavery or human trafficking.

    All employees are treated equally, with respect, dignity, and in a fair manner and in preventing any abuse of human and labour rights. As such, SIOM commits to be compliant with all applicable laws including (but not limited to) those associated with Equal Opportunity, Child Labor, Forced or Compulsory Labor, Working Hours, Compensation, Freedom of Association, Collective Bargaining and Harassment-Free Work Environment.

    Employees have the right to refuse work if they believe it poses immediate health and safety risks.

    Regular inspections maintain hygiene, fire safety, and overall standards at work premises. Equipment and machinery undergo regular checks, with tracked and recorded maintenance.

    WORKING HOURS AND COMPENSATION.

    SIOM offers reasonable working hours and fair remuneration in accordance with local laws and agreements. Sufficient rest time is provided to prevent injuries and illnesses, and overtime is utilized only when necessary and beneficial for employees and the company.

    FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION & COLLECTIVE BARGAINING

    Employees have the right to associate freely and engage in collective bargaining.

    PREVENTION OF FORCED LABOUR & HUMAN TRAFFICKING

    SIOM respects employees' freedom of movement and strictly opposes modern slavery, forced labor, deceptive recruiting, and human trafficking. We do not tolerate restrictions on movement, recruitment fees, identity document confiscation, withheld wages, abusive working conditions, or fraudulent recruitment practices.

    CHILD LABOR

    SIOM strictly prohibits child labor and complies with minimum age provisions.

    SIOM is committed to reducing environmental impacts through resource optimization, sustainability integration, creating sustainable work environments, and mitigating climate-related risks.

    SIOM complies with all required environmental permits and registrations. We actively engage with the community, contribute to municipalities whenever needed, develop green energy for most of its electricity consumption, and pursue sustainable business practices.

    SIOM is committed to continuously invest on new technology which helps to transit to a low-carbon business strategy to reduce the ecological impact on Earth. This can be done through policies, incentives and services that seek the mitigation of climate impact.

    WASTE MANAGEMENT

    SIOM is committed to minimizing waste and reducing environmental impact. We prioritize the reuse and recycling of products, including single-use plastic, packaging material, hazardous waste, and other waste raw materials generated from our production processes.

    RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

    SIOM is deeply committed to sustainability, continuously minimizing water and energy consumption. We have implemented highly efficient energy consumption methods, enabling us to generate over 65% of our electricity requirements from solar energy. This proactive approach is integral to our ongoing sustainability efforts.

    ANIMAL WELFARE

    SIOM is committed to the humane treatment of animals. SIOM encourages its employees to always prevent the mistreatment of animals when they are raised, cared for, transported, and processed.

    SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY

    SIOM's policy is to prioritize the outsourcing of packing cartons and papers labeled as recycled whenever possible. This approach sustains forestry and minimizes the use of harvested wood products.

    SIOM ensures the protection of our clients' resources, including assets, information, intellectual property (patents and trademarks), and their reputation. We never use these resources for personal gain or in a way that could create a conflict of interest. Our utilization of these resources is solely for legitimate business purposes.

    At SIOM, we prioritize the protection and confidentiality of information. Confidential data is subject to local data protection and privacy laws. We do not disclose information obtained during duties without proper authorization. Approval requirements must be met before sharing information on industry platforms.

Deliberate falsification or misrepresentation of data in records is strictly prohibited and constitutes a serious violation of our policies. It is essential to have supporting documents for all records, including financial records.
